Profiles in Teaching with Technology, hosted by MusicFirst's Founder & Director Dr. Jim Frankel, features episodes with leading K-12 music educators who use technology to enhance their teaching in innovative ways. S4 E20 features Tim Lautzenheiser. Tim Lautzenheiser began his teaching career at Northern Michigan University. He then moved to the University of Missouri, and from there to New Mexico State University. During that time, Tim developed highly acclaimed groups in both instrumental and vocal music.

S4 E18 features Wendy Higdon. Wendy is the Director of Bands and Performing Arts Department Chair at Creekside Middle School in Carmel, Indiana. Under her direction, the Creekside Wind Symphony was honored to perform at The Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in 2013.

S4 E17 features Monte Mast and Drew Dickey from The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps. Monte Mast is the Executive Director of The Cavaliers AP&E, Inc, the parent organization of The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps, Chromium Winds, King Cobras Drumline, and GearWorks Educational Programs located in Rosemont, IL. Christopher Drew Dickey serves as Associate Director of the Longhorn Band and on the conducting faculty of the Butler School of Music at The University of Texas at Austin, where he is currently completing his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Wind Conducting. In addition to this appointment, Mr. Dickey serves as the Brass Caption Coordinator with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps from Rosemont, Illinois.

She was named the TI:ME Teacher of the Year in 2012, authored the book Teaching Music Through Composition, and she is a sought-after clinician and consultant around the United States.

Wayne Splettstoezer is in his 22nd year as Director of Instrumental Music/Music Technology at Torrington High School. His music technology program has been nationally recognized and featured at All-State conferences in Connecticut, Massacusetts, Rhode Island, and Texas. Most recently, THS was features as a Best Practice for Music Education at the 2018 Audio Engineering Society High School Educators Conference.
With his innate curiosity and self-starter mentality, he has been extremely successful in blazing a trail in music education.

This episode features Matt Warren, a general music teacher and choral director at the Webster Central School District in Rochester, NY. He is a champion of popular music education and composition education, and has served on the NAfME Council for Music Composition.
S1 E10: Thomas Nasiatka
